Who we are

ContentWorks is a social media monetisation and growth agency working with creators and brands. When this policy says "ContentWorks", "we", "us" or "our", it refers to ContentWorks as the controller of your personal data.

We are based in Europe and process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national data protection laws.

For anything related to your data, write to info@contentworks.online.

02

What we collect

When you contact us

  • Your name, email address and any company, channel or social handle you share.
  • The content of your message and any follow-up correspondence.
  • Booking details if you schedule a call with us through Calendly.

When you work with us

  • Contact and identification details needed for our agreement and invoicing.
  • Information about your social media pages and channels, including performance, audience and revenue data shared with us or made available through platform access you grant.
  • Billing and payment details needed to calculate and collect our commission.

When you visit the site

  • Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, recorded automatically by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

When we reach out to you

  • Publicly available professional information, such as a creator's channel name, public contact details and public performance indicators, which we use to decide whether a partnership could be a good fit.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not send them to us.

03

Why we use it

We only use personal data where the law gives us a valid reason to do so.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights. You can object at any time, and if we contacted you about a partnership, a single reply asking us to stop is enough.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

04

Who we share it with

We only share your data with the people and tools that help us do the work, and only what they need.

  • Service providers that run our website, forms, scheduling, email and file storage.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants, when needed for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
  • Social media platforms we work on for you, such as Meta, YouTube and TikTok, which handle data under their own policies.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
05

International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, we rely on safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

06

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and outreach that don't lead to a partnership: up to 12 months after our last contact.
  • Client records: for the length of our agreement and up to 5 years afterwards, to deal with any questions or claims.
  • Invoices and accounting records: for the period required by Portuguese tax law, currently 10 years.
  • Hosting logs: for the limited period set by our hosting provider.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

07

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical cookies to keep the site secure and working, and these do not require consent.

If you book a call through Calendly, Calendly may set its own cookies, which are covered by its privacy policy.

08

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

Access

Get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Rectification

Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.

Erasure

Ask us to delete your data when there is no reason to keep it.

Restriction

Ask us to pause using your data in certain cases.

Portability

Receive data you gave us in a usable format.

Objection

Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including outreach.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@contentworks.online. We will reply within one month, and we may need to confirm your identity first.

09

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections and restricted access to protect your data. Platform access you grant us is used only for the work we agreed on and can be revoked by you at any time from the platform itself.

Our services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

10

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will let active clients know directly.
